Nassau Coalition for Responsible Development
A Pro-Resident Group Invested In Nassau County's Future
Who We Are
Nassau Coalition for Responsible Development is a group of concerned citizens, businesses, and non-profit organizations who want the best possible outcome for redeveloping the Nassau Hub in Nassau County, Long Island.
We know Nassau County must continue to develop. We support responsible development that minimizes traffic, protects the environment, and respects local communities.
We are in favor of development decisions that generate revenue in our community.
We support local unions and their efforts to guarantee fair wages, affordable health care, and reasonable working conditions.
We believe responsible development means creating sustainable, high-paying jobs that grow greater opportunity in Nassau County.
We have a chance to revitalize and grow our economy - but there's a right and wrong way to do it. While Las Vegas Sands Corporation wants to build a casino in Nassau's Hub, others prefer to invest in a research corridor that will help produce high paying jobs in science and technology.
This is not a done deal. The Las Vegas Sands casino is only a proposal and there's a long legislative and regulatory process that this proposal must go through. Residents deserve to know the alternatives to the casino and should have a voice in development decisions.
With your help, we can build our future the right way.
